HYDRATECH POLYSPRAY CASE STUDY
Project: Clarifier Tanks & Troughs
Engineered Solution: PolySpray SS-200
Substrate/Area: Steel – Abrasive Blast to SSPC-SP6
Installer: HydraTech (formerly HSP)
The Problem and Solutions
A city filtration plant experienced leakage in the influent and effluent water troughs as well as the west side retaining wall in
their facility. The leakage of these troughs has resulted in interior and exterior deterioration. In order to rehabilitate the concrete
substrate, the use of HydraTech’s PolySpray SS-200 was recommended and installed. PolySpray SS-200 is a 100-percent
solids material designed for high-build, fast-cure applications of internal linings where structural performance is required. Cure
rates are in the range of 4 to 7 seconds and are adjusted to accommodate specific applications. PolySpray is a plural
component consisting of an isocyanate (hardener) and Polyol (base) applied with a 1 to 1 ratio. PolySpray products are available
for range of applications from demanding structural repairs to extreme chemical resistance.
